1) Efforts that are eligible for funding from the Civil Marriage Collaborative are ineligible for the State Equality Fund.
2) The following are ineligible for funding under these guidelines: endowments, capital projects, pride events, arts and cultural programming, individuals, scholarships, debt relief, debt retirement, video production/distribution, litigation, and LGBT services.
3) No grant dollars can be used for direct or grassroots lobbying, voter registration, electoral, or candidate work (please see definitions below).
4) Funding is limited to organizations providing programming within the United States or its recognized territories and jurisdictions.
5) Funding is limited to organizations with a current IRS 501(c)(3) determination letter or advance ruling. Projects fiscally sponsored by an organization with a 501(c)(3) determination letter or advance ruling are also eligible. For projects that are fiscally sponsored by another organization, a copy of the fiscal sponsorship agreement and proof of the fiscal sponsor’s agreement to the proposal will be required when a proposal is submitted.
