Grant Seekers Within Colorado

In Colorado, the Gill Foundation provides funding for nonprofits that serve the state’s LGBT and HIV/AIDS populations.

LGBT Funding: We envision a state in which all people are treated equally and respectfully.  To that end, we fund organizations such as community centers, youth organization and anti-violence programs across the state that service the multiple needs of the state’s LGBT population.

HIV/AIDS Funding: In 2008, more than 10,619 people were living with HIV or AIDS in Colorado. As government funding for HIV/AIDS organizations declines, the Gill Foundation continues to fund all aspects of HIV/AIDS prevention and care in Colorado, including educational outreach, testing, medical treatment, family services, and community organizing.

To determine your organization’s eligibility for funding from the foundation, please review our 2011 LGBT grant guidelines here or our 2011 HIV/AIDS grant guidelines here. Please note that grant requests are accepted on an invitation only basis.

Separately, the Gay & Lesbian Fund for Colorado provides financial support to high-impact Colorado nonprofits in four program areas: arts and culture; public participation; healthy families; and public broadcasting. Visit the Gay & Lesbian Fund for Colorado grants page to learn more about the program areas they support as well grant guidelines.
